d. Capt. James McQUOID, Southern steamboatman died New Orleans on 18th inst. Capt. McQ. went on the river in 1842 and had command of some of the best boats in the Southern trade. Capts. Charles McQUOID and Hugh McQUIOD, two well known steamboatmen, were his brothers. He leaves a wife and two daughters. - Capt. McQ. was a nephew of Charles McQUOID of St. Andrews Parish (Charlotte Co.)
