Johnston (Queens Co.) Aug. 8 - A brilliant wedding occurred at the old residence of Aaron JENKINS at Armstrong's Point, Tuesday eve., July 9th, when his youngest daughter, Lily May JENKINS was united in the holy bonds of wedlock to D. Edwin PARENT of Upper Queensbury (York Co.) Miss Alice PARENT acted as bridesmaid and Spurgeon J. JENKINS, who acted as groomsman. The knot was tied by a brother of the bride Rev. E.C. JENKINS of Upper Queensbury, assisted by Rev. W.H. Jenkins of Grenville, N.S. and Rev. J.D. Wetmore of Kars. The ceremony was performed in the presence of 70 invited guests which included the father and mother of the bride, her four brothers, Rev. W.H. JENKINS and Rev. E.C. JENKINS, Frederick JENKINS, captain of St. John and S.J. JENKINS, medical student from Bowdoin College, Maine. Her sisters and husbands: Franklin HOWE and wife, Hillside (KIngs Co.); T.W. PERRY, Sheriff of Queens Co. and wife; Geo. FISHER and wife from Long Creek (Queens Co.) and G.W. PERRY and wife from Perry's Point. Charles PARENT, Douglas (York Co.) and Miss Alice PARENT, brother and sister of the groom, were also present. (see original for guests and gifts)
