Pictou, N.S., 12th April - Stipendiary Narraway held an investigation today into the charges of concealment of birth and child murder made against a Micmac squaw named Elizabeth JOE. The accused is only 16 years old. Hannah JOE, her mother and Nancy HALLETT, another squaw, gave evidence through John NOEL, the interpreter, as to the birth and finding of the child and some alleged admissions of the accused who was committed for trial at the supreme court.
