Amherst, N.S., April 13 - Word was received here this morn. of the death of Benjamin MORAN which took place at Dorchester this morn. about 10 o'clock. The deceased was born at Richibucto (Kent Co.) and was 67 years of age. Mr. Moran had an attack of la grippe from the effects of which he had nearly recovered. This morn. he went into Mr. Dobson's store near Mr. Moran's residence, apparently in his usual health, and shortly after expired. Mr. Moran was the father of W.J. MORAN of the firm of Moran & Bent and of Mrs. BENT, wife of Mr. Moran's partner, both of this firm, father-in-law of A.W. CHAPMAN, barrister of Dorchester. The deceased lived in Dorchester for the past hal century.
