It is believed that the second mate Thompson who was killed on the Nova Scotia barque "Strathay" by a sailor, is W.M. THOMPSON s/o late Capt. Michael THOMPSON of this city. Thompson left St. John aout two and a half years ago. When his friends last heard from hism, he was on the Pacific coast. Capt. Thompson of bark "St. Olaves" is a brother of the man supposed to have been murdered.
