The dead body of Joseph P. NOILES of Midgic (West. Co.) was found by the roadside about midway between Cole's Island and Four Corners on the new Cole's Island road early yesterday morn. by Miles PHINNEY and Coleman SEARS. It appears that Noiles spent Tuesday in Amherst and while there got drunk. Noiles was about 40 years of age and kept a gin mill at Midgic. (see original)
