The death is announced today of Thomas G. ALLAN, Esq., senior members of the firm Allan Brothers, founders. He was the eldest s/o late Thomas ALLAN who was associated with James HARRIS in the firm Harris & Allan. Thomas G. learned his trade as machanist under his father's eye and then went to Philadelphia where he gained a wide experience. Returning to this Province he started a foundary in Fredericton. In 1861, in company with his brother, R.R. ALLAN he purchased the foundary in Carleton (St. John) belonging to Elisha B. RICH. (see original)
