One of the most shocking deaths occurred Monday morn. In a fit of insanity, the result of a severe attack of typhoid fever, Mrs. Albert SCHLEYER committed suicide. ... The last night of her life on eargh she did not close her eyes in sleep and was in a very weak state in the morning. She arose and assisted in getting the breakfast for Mr. Schleyer and his son, Frank SCHLEYER, who work at the foundry and leaves home about 7 o'clock. Her daughter Eva SCHLEYER is an employee in the 'Reporter's office. When Eva left home, her two half brothers, one 7 years old, the other 2, were sleeping in bed and Mrs. Schleyer was attending to light household duties. The deceased was Mr. Schleyer's second wife and leaves two children. Her maiden name was Helen ADAMS and her native place was Kingston (Kings Co.). The funeral will take place this afternoon 4 o'clock from her residence Charlotte St., near Northumberland. (see original)
