The funeral of Thomas HUNTER of Carleton took place from the residence of Mrs. Beatteay, King Street, yesterday afternoon. The choir of the Presbyterian church assisted in the services at the house, which, as well as at the grave, were conducted by Rev. James Burgess. The pall bearers were I.E. SMITH, W.D. BASKIN, Wm VASSIE, R. Morton SMITH, John K. STOREY and Thos. H. SOMERVILLE. The remains were interred in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The brother-in-law of the deceased, James BEATTEAY of Portland, Me., was present as chief mourner.
