John PAUL, aged about 63, was proprietor of a boarding house at McAdam Junction until Monday, when he moved to Vanceboro, Maine. In attempting to cross the St. Croix on Wednesday at the latter point, he broke through the ice and was drowned. He leaves a wife and five children.
