To The Editors of the 'Carleton Sentinel' - George F. COOK, 24 years of age, son of James COOK, Wakefield (Carleton Co.), while lumbering at Floodwood, Michigan, was struck by a falling log on Wednesday Feb. 25th, and instantly killed. His funeral, which was held at the Baptist Church at Marinette, Wisconsin at 2 p.m. Friday Feb. 27th, was large. Andrew PORTERFIELD, in whose lumber camp Mr. Cook was employed, and the cousins of the deceased, deserve credit for their carfulness that everything in relation to the funeral should be characterized by perfect order and decorum. (signed) John STAFFORD, Pastor, Baptist Church, Marinette, Wis., March 2nd, 1891.
