The death on Thursday of Mrs. Dorcas MORINE of Port Medway, N.S. removes one of the oldest inhabitants of the sister province. The deceased was born at Port Medway, 9th June 1787 and had attained the age of 100 years 6 mos. 27 days. Her maiden named was Dorcas COHOON d/o William COHOON and Dorcas COHOON, the first settlers in Port Medway. Her mother, who also attained the age of 100 years, was the daughter of Jonathan SMITH of Liverpool, N.S. The deceased was a relict of Asa MORINE. She has eleven children, four of whom are now living. She also leaves one sister now living in Dakota who is in her 88th year. She leaves 55 grandchildren and 66 great-grandchildren. When quite young she experienced religion, being at the time on a visit to Yarmouth, and baptized by Rev. Harrie Harding and joined the Baptist Church. - 'Times'
