Capt. Ralph STEEVES of Memramcook (West. Co.) was drowned in his Mill Pond Monday afternoon. He was crossing the pond on a raft for the purpose of driving his geese out of his neighbour's grain when , it is supposed, he fell into the pond. There was only some five feet of water where he was drowned.He was sixty years of age. An inquest was held on the body of Thomas A. LeBLANC, Esq.
