Hopewell Hill (Albert Co) Jan. 18 - Samuel J. CALHOUN, formerly of this place, who is here from New Westminster, B.C., will remain a month or so in the county. Mr. Calhoun has been two years and a half in those parts. Among the former resident of Albert County who are doing well in British Columbia are: Wesley PECK, John CALHOUN, Capt. J.P. HAMILTON of New Westminster; Juda WELLS, Fletcher STILES, Harvey SMITH and Joseph SMITH of La Conner; L.M. WOOD, formerly editor of the 'Maple Leaf', now occupying an editorial position on the Seattle 'Post Intelligencer'. Mr. Peck is a promininent contractor of New Westminster. Harvey Smith owns one of the finest farms in that section; Miss Flora CALHOUN, formerly of Hopewell, is said to be the most expert stenographer in New Westinster, if not the province.
