As the express from St. John was descending Walker's grade yesterday morn. half a mile the other side of Quispamsis (Kings Co.) it struck a 3 year old boy of George GALLAGHER of the Model Farm. Both legs were cut off and the little lad was otherwise injured. It appears the child's mother was sick in bed and that the little one strayed from the house. Driver Stewart as he turned the curve on the grade noticed the tot sitting on the rail and endeavored to stop the train, but was unsuccessful. The child lived 2 or 3 hours.
