A New Brunswicker named Alexander HARPER, lately a resident of Bangor (Maine) was drowned a few days ago while driving logs on the Penobscot River. A jam had formed and four men werte directed to break it. They succeeded in doing so, but by a sudden pitch were all thrown into the stream. The others were rescued but Harper was drowned. He was 34 years and leaves a wife and several children.
