Report was brought to town yesterday afternoon of the drowning of Edmund DOUGLAS, age about 26, which occurred four miles up the river from Moncton. Deceased belonged to East Mountain near Truro, N.S. It appeared from the evidence of George HORSMAN, who was the only witness, that about 2o'clock in the afternoon deceased and Horsman left Mr. Wilson's house and went down to the river to bathe.
