A Boston correspondent of the Moncton 'Transcript'gives some information of an accident by which Melbourne JONES, a former I.C.R. engineer, lost his life. He says he was making up his train, on which he ran between Boston and Worcester, and unfortunately caught his foot between the rails and was knocked down and terribly mangled. Mr. Jones was born in this city and was a son of the late Stephen JONES who was buried on Friday from his daughter's residence at Fredericton Junction (Sunbury Co.). He was married to a Miss Jane LESTER of this city and he leaves five children, three boys and two girls. He was in the employ of the I.C.R. for 19 years and only left it about two years ago. For many years he was an engineer on the Quebec express. After leaving here he was employed for a year as an engineer on the Boston and Albany Railway.
