We regret to learn that Charles CLARKE, master of steamer "Meteor" fell overboard, as it is supposed, from the forward gangway, when a few miles below Fredericton on Wednesday eve. on the passage down and was not afterwards seen, although the boat was almost instantly stopped and every exertion made for his recovery. We understand he has left a wife and large family of small children.
