The ranks of the police force are again filled. Policeman Patrick OWENS takes the place of Mr. STEADMAN as Sgt. of Div. 4. The new men sworn in yesterday are as follows: Wm WHITE, 43 years old, Englishman; Richard EVANS, 31, New Brunswicker; Jas. CANNON, 27, do; Edward WILKINS, 24, do; John SIMPSON, 37, native of Ireland. Sgt. OWENS has been on the force since 1861.
