The men who have just returned from the drives report the drowning of a young man named Hogan. While breaking a jam on Whalen's drive at Blake's falls on the south branch of the Renous River (North. Co.), he met his death by drowning. The jam broke unexpectedly and before poor Hogan had time to turn around he was preciptated into eternity. The deceased was the only remaining one of five sons, the other four having died of diphtheria some time ago. He was a son of Patrick HOGAN of Renous River.
