Brig "Mary A. Troop", CAIN, from Ardrossen, May 13 for New York, was run down by "Pennsylvania" at this port from Liverpool on 15th inst. in about lat 40,30 lon. 68, on the end of Georges Bank. The bark was struck amidships and sunk in two minutes, carrying down with her Capt. George CAIN of Yarmouth, N.S., Master Richard DYER, Falmouth, second officer and four of the crew. John HEALY, chief officer and the steward Samuel JOHNSON, ordinary seamen were saved. The "M.A.T." registered 363 tons, was built at Granville, N.S. in 1864 and hailed from St. John, N.B. - 'N.Y. Journal of Commerce'
