Some two years ago Albert LAWSON s/o Robert LAWSON of Molus River, Richibucto (Kent Co.) left his home to try his fortune in the great Northwest. He landed in the town of Morden with a very few dollars in his pocket. He was full of courage and energy and went to work with true Canadian pluck. He is now the possessor of some 480 acres of land worth $15 per acre. He has sown and cultivated nearly 300 acres of wheat and other grains. He sold this year some 4800 bushels of wheat and other products aggregating in value nearly $3,000. He has five span of fine Clydesdale for work and a span of carriage horses, two binders and farm machinery in proportion. His barns are well finished and his outfit is of the best. (see original)
