Among the old records in the Old Record Office just levelled to the ground was found a roll containing the names of all the electors of the County of York for 1812 which roll is now in the possession of Mr. Edwards of the Queen. At the foot of the list are the following words 'Left my office on Monday 10th May about 5 p.m., Garret Clopper, Clerk'.
