Centreville (Carleton Co.) Oct. 22 - Mrs. Margaret McMONAGLE widow of Andrew McMONAGLE, formerly Mrs. WOODWARD, nee Margaret CAMPBELL, died Friday night at Greenfield. At nine o'clock, one of her sons hearing a perculiar noise at the barn got up from bed and went out. His mother spoke to him then and seemed to be all right. At ten o'clock, Ann WOODWARD, her daughter, who was sleeping with her, felt her moving and heard her breathing as if in distress and imaginging she was in a dream or nightmare, shook her by the shoulders. Lighting a lamp and hurriedly calling her two brothers, she did what she could for her poor mother, but after gasping a few moments she passed quietly away. She was nearly 60 years old and leaves two sons and four daughters. On Sunday afternoon whe was buried in the Baptist burying ground at Greenfield. A sermon was preached in the Presbyterian kirk.
