Mr. BANNISTER, Brakeman on the down train from Shediac (West. Co.), to the city met his death yesterday morn. While the train was stopping at Salisbury, the brakeman was engaged in placing some box cars on a siding. It is thought after coupling the cars, they being in motion, his foot slipped and he fell between them and across the rail.... He is the son of Mr. BANNISTER who was a contractor on the railway under Thomas KING, Esq.; and at present keeps a saloon on Charlotte St. (St. John), The deceased, age 25, had been employed on Railway lines in Canada.
