Mrs. John McSWEENY, whose funeral took place Sunday afternoon, was one of the oldest residents of St. John. Born near Bandon, Ireland, she came to this country when comparatively young and resided continuously here until her death, when she was in her 83rd year. Until recently attacked by paralysis, she was active in mind and body. Among the mourners were Monsignor GRIFFIN of Worcester, Mass., a cousin of the deceased. The pall bearers were James REYNOLDS, Henry MAHER, Thomas LUNNEY, J.J. LAWLOR, Michael FLOOD and Thomas FURLONG.
