The sad intelligence from New Westminster, B.C. of the death of John W. BREWSTER, which occurred April 18, in his 75th year, was received here by his friends with deep regret. Mr. Brewster was tide waiter at this port about 25 years. Mr. Brewster and more than ordinary intelligence and fine social qualities. His wife, who died more than thirty years ago, was a d/o late Gideon J. REID. He leaves three daughters who reside in New Westminster, where they went last summer with their father from Brooklyn, New York, Margaret DUNHAM w/o George W. DUNHAM; Ada STEVENS, wife of Capt. S.T. STEVENS and Janey BREWSTER, the youngest, not married.
