A coroner's inquest was held at Greenwich parish (Kings Co.)7th inst. before Isaac Haviland, Esq., Coroner, on view ofthe body of John McKEEL. Verdict: Wilful Murder on the partof Robert WELDON and William WELDON as aiding and assisting.The accused have been committed to gaol in Kingston. Mr. McKEEL was an elderly man of considerable property. His Funeral took place Thursday at Parish Church. His untimelydeath is attributed to a wound inflicted a few days previously by the party accused in an affray arising out ofbad feelings between the parties who were neighbours, respecting the right of fishing. Mr. McKEEL having given information of an infraction of the law by the WELDONS. Thewound was not considered dangerous at first as Mr. McKEEL visited the City (St. John) after receivung it to attend business.
