On Thursday eve. about 6 o'clock as Ambrose BARRY, Asst. Engineer of steamer "Nova Scotia" was passing from the steamer over the ship "Liverpool" to come on shore, he fell into the hold of the "Liverpool", a depth of 22 feet and was killed instantly. Dr. John Paddock was in immediate attendance but life was extinct when the body was discovered. Mr. Barry, mechanic, was the eldest s/o John BARRY, formerly prop. of the Brass Foundry (St. John) age 26. Funeral Sunday half past 1 o'clock from residence of William YARDY, Princess St.
