The 'St. Stephen Journal' says that on Thursday last while a young man about 20 years of age, a son of Daniel CONROY of Bayside, St. Andrews (Charlotte Co.) was repairing and carelessly handling a gun charged with buckshot, it went off, lodging the charge in the thigh of his sister, Mary Jane CONROY, a girl age 16 years, who was standing close by. The shot carried off the tips of the fingers of one hand besides shattering her thigh in a shocking manner. She died on Saturday morn. at 4 o'clock and her remains were interred yesterday in the R.C. Cemetery.
