The Bridgetown 'Monitor' says Friday last witnessed the decease of Rachel RAY at the residence of her son-in-law, Parker ROWLBY, at the age of nearly 96 years. Her maiden name was Rachel HARRIS and she was a d/o Sgt. John HARRIS, a Bunker Hill hero on the British side. Her father was a native of Dublin, and after a service of considerable duration in a regiment on the line, he obtained his discharge while stationed at Annapolis, N.S. Soon after he married Esther GRAVES or Elizabeth GRAVES, a d/o one of the Massachusetts settlers then domiciled in Granville. The marriage resulted in the birth of a number of children, of whom the late Mrs. Ray was one of the younger. Nearly all of these children were remarkable for their longetivity. The oldest sister, the late Mrs. MOORE, died at the age of 96. and her sister, the late Mrs. Edmund MORTON had attained the age of 95 at her decease. The remaining surviving member of the family, Thomas HARRIS has attained nearly the nonagenarian age. The deceased leaves seven children, 38 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
