Last Monday a serious accident occurred at Amherst, N.S. by which Stephen KENT lost his life. He was assisting in moving a building, abd was sitting on the ground taking in the slack of a rope round the capstan. The bar, to which the horse was attached, broke, the broken part remaining in the capstan coming with great force, striking him on the head and fracturing the skull killing him instantly. The deceased leaves a wife and two children.
