A sad drowning accident occurred at Indiantown (St. John) about 2:15 o'clock yesterday, the victim being Percy WHITE, 10 year old s/o George M. WHITE, Bridge Street. In company with his brother Herbert PERRY and Ira PERRY, young White had intended to spend the day sailing up river, securing a sloop for the purpose. The lads completed their plans and started on their journey. The had gone but a short distance when the wind sudenly changed, causing the boom of the boat to swing around. At this time Percy White was standing at the cabin apprarently in the way of the boom, for he was struck by it and knocked overboard. There is an eddy where the accident occurred. The struggles of the lad were brief, the body being carried down in the under tow. A party was at once organized to search for the body. The grappling operations were begun within half an hour and continued unsuccessfully up to a late hour last night.
