The death of Richard SEELY, at an early hour Tuesday morn., was heard by the public with some surprise as it was not generally known that his illness was so grave a character as it proved to be. Mr. Seely had been between 12 and 15 years in the office of the water commissioners and during that time had done valuable work for the city. By his method of keeping accounts the clerical labor of the office was greatly simpliied. Mr. Seely was married to a d/o late W.K. REYNOLDS who died some years since. One devoted daughter survives him. Messrs. Alexander SEELY, George SEELY (now in Boston), and J. Fred SEELY are brothers of the deceased. The funeral will take place Thursday next 2 p.m.
