An accident occurred shortly before the arrival of the western train on Thursday eve. which terminated fatally. A colored man nameed James JONES got on the cattle guard at Bogg's crossing, a short distance beyond Fairville station. Frank CONNORS, the engine driver, reported to the station master at Fairville that he realized something unusual when passing the crossing. Horace TAPLEY, the station agent, repaired to the spot and there found the man lying on the ground, with one foot nearly cut off. He was then removed to the public hospital where the man survived until about 6 o'clock yesterday morn. Coroner Earle held an inquest yesterday afternoon.
