The Carson City, Nev. 'Tribune' has a lengthy obituary notice of Nathan SMART, sr. who died at Seattle, Washington, 23rd inst. Mr. Smart was a brother-in-law of Joseph CRAIG of Chamcook (Charlotte Co.). The deceased was a native of Scotland and at the age of 11 years immigrated to New Brunswick taking up his residence of St. Stephen. He lived there for many years connected with railroads and ship building. Several years ago he went to Nevada and with his sons carried on the logging and timber business on the shores of Lake Tahoe. Subsequently he moved with most of his family to Seattle where he died. He leaves a widow, four sons and three daughters.
