Elgin (Albert Co.) Aug. 22 - On Friday last, Frederick STEEVES, one of Elgin's oldest citizens, was buried in the graveyard at Meadow near his residence. Mr. Steeves was a s/o Joshua STEEVES of Pollet River and settled in Elgin when a young man where he remained until his death. He was a practical farmer and at one time supposed to be the wealthiest in Elgin. He was also deacon of the Baptist church.
