Last Sturday a melancholy case of drowning occurred in Lister's Mill Pond. Thomas BURGESS was engaged at work and went to the Pond to bring a log to the slip way. As he was long in returning, his comrades made search for him and discovered his hat and pike pole floating on the water. Fearing the worst search was made for his body, but it was not until the water was run out that they found it. Mr. BURGESS was only 23 years of age.
