William McDOUGALL, a brakeman on the train between Bradford and Dubois, Pa., was run over by a train and instantly killed at Falls Creek last Monday. The train left Bradford early Monday morn. On arriving at Falls Creek the crew was compelled to move some cars from the Alleghany transfer and while doing this McDougall lost his life. No one saw the accident occur, but is surmised he caught his foot in the guard rail and was unable to get it free befre the train was upon him. Several cars passed over his body causing instant death. The remains arrived at the deceased's late home, Salt Springs (Kings Co.) Friday 26th. The funeral took place Sunday and despite the heavy rain was largely attended. The burial service was read by Father Collerette. Mr. McDougall was about 23 years of age. He had been on the train about two years. Being of temperate habits and quiet disposition he had many friends. His parents, brother and four sisters reside in Salt Springs.
