James KINNEY, who belongs eight miles from Chatham (North. Co.), was killed by a train at St. Stephen on Wednesday night. It had started from the station and was well under way, when Kinney attempted to proceed from one car to another. He fell between the cars and the remainder of the train passed over his body. His right leg was severed and the wheels ran across the thigh and arm, breaking the latter. Three doctors were summoned but the wounded man died at 1:15 a.m. An inquest was held on the remains and the body is to be sent to the man's former home.
