Moncton, Jan. 8 - Edward ALLEN of firm Allen & Chapman, who broke his ankle on 14th Dec. last by falling on an icy sidewalk, died this morn. at 8 o'clock of paralysis of the heart. Deceased had been a resident of this town for the past 15 years, the first 10 of which he acted as a clerk for D.A. DUFFY. He afterwards became a partner in the business and the firm was styled Allen & Co. About 15 mos. ago, Mr. Allen sold hid interest in the company to A.C. CHAPMAN. Deceased was an unmarried man, 63 years of age. He leaves a widowed sister, Mrs. PAYNE in Moncton and a brother and sister in Dartmouth, N.S.
