The Aspen 'Daily Times', April 29th, gived an account of a sad accident at the Della S. mine on Saturday previous whereby Andy McFARLANE, an old time resident of ASpen, lost his life by falling down a 40 foot incline withiin the mine. His body was recovered on Sunday and after the inquest was shipped to Denver over the Rio Grande last night where they will be interred. The were accompanied by D.R.C. BROWN, cousin of the deceased, Mrs. Brown and her little daughter, Henrietta BROWN. The deceased has a brother, William McFARLANE residing at Denver and another brother, Peter McFARLANE at Central City. The remains were accompanied by the depot last night by about 75 masons of which order deceased was a member. Mr. McFarlane was a native of P.E.I. and was a nephew of George BROWN of this town.
