Lauchlin McKINNON, Scotch Settlement, died suddenly at the home of his son-in-law, Jas. TRITES, King street last eve. Mr. McKinnon had come out here last eve. to see his son Archibald McKINNON who is sick at Mr. Trites'. He had been in the house a few minutes when he suddenly gave a few gasps and expired. Dr. Church was summoned. He pronouced death caused by heart disease. Deceased was about 78 years old and had been in apparent good health up to the time of his death. Yesterday he was engaged in potato digging. His remains will be taken to Scotch Settlement today by underaker Johnson, the funeral taking place tomorrow.
