A wedding took place Tuesday eve. at the residence of the bride's mother, Mrs. Mary GILLIS, No. 13 Union Street, when her daughter, Miss Sarah A. GILLIS was united in marriage to Chas. F. LANDER of Bangor, Maine. The ceremony was performed in the parlor at 8 o'clock by Rev. R.L. Rae, pastor of the Porter Church. In the absence of the groom's brother, John E. LANDER, Harry S. KENT acted as best man while the bridesmaid was the bride's niece, Miss Sadie CARROLL. - Brockton, Mass. 'Enterprise', Aug. 16 - Miss Gillis is a Douglastown (North. Co.) girl and a younger sister of Mrs. J.G. LAYTON of this town.
