The Anaconda, Montana 'Standard' has a despatch dates Great Falls, 11th inst. which says: A special to the Tribune from Sheep Creek in the Belt mountains announces the fatal shooting of George H. SEWELL, superintendent of the Sheep Creek camp of the Butte and Montana commercial company. It seems that one J.T. McCORMICK, an employee of the company, was discharged by Mr. Sewell several days ago for some cause and a bitter feeling existed between the two men, especially on the part of McCormick, Yesterday eve., McCormick returned to camp and started a quarrel, ending in his pulling a revolver and shooting the superintendent dead in his tracks. George H. Sewell has been a prominent figure in Montana for a number of years. He was a former resident of Anaconda, having been in charge of a force of men during the construction of the Anaconda company's smelting plant several years ago. He was a Knight Templar and stood prominentlt in the Masonic circles. He leaves a wife and two children in Fredericton, N.B. to mourn his terrible death. McCormick, the murderer, has the reputation of baing a bad man and has figured in several scapes before. Some time ago he seriously stabbed a man in Missoula.
