On Friday last, Frederic STEEVES, one of Elgin's oldest citizens, was buried in the graveyard at Meadow near his residence. Mr. Steeves was a son of Joshua STEEVES of Pollet River and settle in Elgin (Albert Co.) when a young man. He was a practical farmer and at one time was supposed to be the wealthiest one in Elgin. He was also a deacon of the Baptist Church.
