Capt. Thomas KYFFIN, late of the bark "Mary E. Chapman", arrived on the C.P.R. express yesterday afternoon. The vessel, went ashore on Stone Horse reef, Tybee, on the night of the 24th of January. There were 12 hands on board, besides the captain, Mrs. Kyffin and child. The vessel was bound for Rotterdam. All were saved, but it was with the greatest difficulty. It was dark and the storm was raging when the bark struck. The captain says he hardly knows how he reached the shore, but they did so in the teeth of the waves which were rolling very high. After they had reached the land they were obliged to walk through a sort of swamp for a long distance. Sometimes they would be in the water almost knee deep. The child was carried in a basket. The captain and Mrs. Kyffin and child are now enjoying good health.
