On following day, Thomas McCURDY of Belledoune in returning from Bathurst (Glouc. Co.) to his home in a cart also lost his life. He had left a friend's house a little after 2 p.m. and was found dead not long after about a mile and a half from Bathurst. The body was discovered under the cart with the neck broken, the cart and horse having upset near a deep bank in the roadside.
