Chatham (North. Co.) Feb. 13 - A shocking case of infanticide occurred here within the last 24 hours. Last night Dr. John S. Benson was called to the house of George B. FRASER to attend Mary DWYER, the domestic servant of Mr. Fraser. After the doctor had examined the patient he enquired for the new born child anbd was told by Mary that there was none. A search revealed a baby with its throat cut concealed under the mother's pillow. Coroner M.S. Benson was notified. The girl belongs to St. Margaret's and is a d/o Con. DWYER of that place.
